Pattaya Music Festival 2024

Pattaya City, in collaboration with the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization, is hosting the "Pattaya Music Festival 2024." This event aims to establish Pattaya as a national music hub, showcase the beauty of Pattaya's beaches, and stimulate the tourism economy.

The festival will feature over 50 top artists performing across various stages. It will take place every Friday and Saturday throughout March, spanning four weeks. The main stages include:

Jomtien Beach Stage
Poh Na Klue Public Park Stage

"Thai Railways: Everyone Can Travel" event 2nd iteration

The State Railway of Thailand, in collaboration with the Chachoengsao Development Foundation and the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen, organized the 2nd edition of the “Thai Railways: Everyone Can Travel” event. On this occasion, 100 teachers and visually impaired students from the Bangkok School for the Blind were given the opportunity to experience a train journey aboard the KIHA 183.

The event aimed to provide a new learning experience outside the classroom. Participants traveled on the KIHA 183 train and took part in educational activities, including a tour and lectures about the nation's history, religion, monarchy, and the history of the KIHA 183 train. They learned about Japan, important aspects of Chachoengsao Province, including its food, art, culture, and significant places, as well as its role in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

The "Doctor on Train" event 7th iteration

The State Railway of Thailand, in collaboration with King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), organized the 7th edition of the "Doctor on Train" event from August 27-28, 2024 at Thung Song Junction Railway Station in Nakhon Si Thammarat. This event provided free health check-ups and disease screening services to local residents, railway employees, and their families in Thung Song and nearby areas.

The "Doctor on Train" initiative began in 2022 as part of the railway's commitment to social responsibility. It involves a team of specialists from the King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) and Burachat Chaiyakorn Hospital, offering comprehensive medical services at no cost. Over the past year, this program has expanded to various regions, including Chumphon in the South, Uttaradit and Lampang in the North, and Nakhon Ratchasima and Saraburi in the Northeast. This outreach has enabled over 2,500 people to access public health services and provided follow-up care to more than 100 individuals.

"Creating Music at Bangkok Railway Station (Hua Lamphong)" event

On November 1, 2023 at 4:00 PM, the State Railway of Thailand, in collaboration with Chang Natural Mineral Water, held a significant musical event at Bangkok Railway Station (Hua Lamphong) titled “Chang Road to Friendship” (น้ำแร่ธรรมชาติตราช้าง เติมเต็มคำว่าเพื่อน).

The goal of this musical event was to use music as a medium to engage the younger generation, encouraging them to make productive use of their free time, foster friendships, and have fun together. The event aimed to bring joy to the public and passengers who enjoy music while visiting the station, with Hua Lamphong serving as the central venue for sharing the event's story.

Additionally, the State Railway of Thailand collaborated with Chang Natural Mineral Water to organize train trips to regional concerts, providing music fans with an alternative means of transportation to attend concerts. This initiative was designed to enhance access to musical events and make rail travel a primary option for concert-goers.

The National Children's Day event 2024: “The Train of Happiness”

On January 13, 2024, the State Railway of Thailand organized a National Children's Day event to bring happiness and knowledge to young people across the country. The event featured recreational activities designed to inspire and foster creativity, with enthusiastic participation from children and youth.

This year's event, themed “The Train of Happiness”, focused on providing children and youth with hands-on learning experiences to foster creativity and pride in the railway industry, which has been a significant part of Thailand’s history for over 125 years. The activities aimed to cultivate a sense of responsibility and good discipline among participants, aligning with the National Children's Day slogan for 2567 (2024) set by Prime Minister Settha Thavisin: “Think Broadly, Create Innovatively, Respect Differences, and Build Democracy Together.”

Open House Activity: A Place of Learning

The State Railway of Thailand organized an Open House event to provide a learning experience for teachers and kindergarten students from the Phrom School in Lat Krabang District. The visit took place at Bangkok Railway Station (Hua Lamphong) to educate them about the history of the State Railway of Thailand, which has been a vital transportation system in the country for over 126 years.

During the visit, the participants started at Bangkok Railway Station where railway staff guided them through the station's historical exhibits. They demonstrated how to purchase tickets using the D-ticket automatic ticket vending machines and allowed the children to try buying tickets themselves. Additionally, the group had the opportunity to view seven historically significant locomotives displayed on platforms 4 and 5, which greatly fascinated the children.

Following the station tour, the teachers and students traveled by train from Bangkok Railway Station to Bang Sue Junction Station on train No. 209 (Bangkok - Ban Takli). This provided a practical learning experience outside the classroom, with a fun and educational atmosphere, aligning with the State Railway's commitment to improving the quality of life and rail transport services for the Thai public.

Activity: 'Instant Happiness When Traveling with Thai Railways – This Journey is Different'

The Ministry of Transport, through the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and private sector partners including Boonrawd Trading Co., Ltd., Reckitt Benckiser (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited, is launching the railway tourism activity "Instant Happiness When Traveling with Thai Railways – This Journey is Different." The aim is to deliver a new travel experience through convenient and safe railway journeys. The event will take place from July to August 2024, covering six routes.

In July 2024, activities will be conducted using the KIHA 183 train on four routes, each offering a 2-day, 1-night travel package priced at 3,999 THB per person:
Route 1: Bangkok – Ratchaburi (Central Region) on July 6-7, 2024.
Route 2: Bangkok – Suan Son Pradipat, Prachuap Khiri Khan (Central Region) on July 13-14, 2024.
Route 3: Bangkok – Suphanburi (Central Region) on July 20-21, 2024.
Route 4: Bangkok – Prachinburi (Eastern Region) on July 27-28, 2024.

In August, the "Mother's Day Trips" will include two one-day railway trips:
Route 1: "Mother's Day Trip," inviting families to ride the historic steam locomotive from Bangkok to Chachoengsao (Eastern Region) on August 12, 2024, priced at 799 and 329 THB per person.
Route 2: "Royal Blossom: The Train Line of Happiness" from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi, marking the debut of the SRT Royal Blossom tourist train, on August 17, 2024, priced at 1,799 THB per person.

Thailand Goosebump Festival

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), is organizing the first-ever "Thailand Goosebump Festival" in Thailand. This event aims to boost faith-based tourism and create a unique new experience by hosting the festival in the style of an Art City. The festival focuses on preserving Thai cultural beliefs that have been passed down through generations and provides a platform for businesses and activities related to Thai beliefs and faith to showcase and develop their tourism products. The event will be held at the Makkasan Factory in Bangkok.

OTOP - Local Goods of the Railway Lifestyle festival

The State Railway of Thailand is hosting the grand "OTOP - Local Goods of the Railway Lifestyle" festival, bringing together high-quality products and services from railway lines across the country in one place, at the Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal (Bang Sue Grand Station), for a full 3-day event from March 22-24. Discover OTOP products, food, and local specialties from railway routes in all four regions, as well as numerous influencer shops. Some highlights include marinated prawns Paed Riw, Yaay Noi’s crispy pork crackling chili paste, Mae Pranam’s meatballs, Som Song’s Nakhon Pathom roast duck, Ban Pla Tu Maha Chai, King Octopus, and Pang Ver, with a delicious recipe over 70 years old.

Temple Fair Festival 'A Good Life with the Way by the Railway'

The State Railway of Thailand, under the Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with the Marketing Organization of the Ministry of Interior, invites you to the "Temple Fair Festival: A Good Life with the Way by the Railway." Enjoy shopping and tasting famous products and food from various communities across the country, including goods from the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) program, shops featuring railway-side specialties, and over 500 items of local products and services from different provinces. The festival also includes entertainment activities and concerts by leading artists. The event will be held at the Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, in the outdoor area between Gates 5 – 12, from July 19 – 28, 2024, for a total of 10 days, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
