Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon is located within Wat Nong Waeng by Bueng Kaen Nakhon. This 80-meter tall structure is modeled after Phra That Phanom and features a Dvaravati-Indochinese style with a seven-headed naga fence. The nine-tiered stupa contains various points of interest on each floor, such as meeting halls, a relic chamber, historical exhibits, and stunning carved doors and windows. The top floor houses the Buddha’s relics and offers a panoramic view of Khon Kaen city and Bueng Kaen Nakhon.
