Wat Pitula Thiratcharangrit is an ancient temple established during the reign of King Rama III in 1834. Originally called Wat Mueang, it was later renamed by King Rama V during a visit to Chachoengsao. The temple, built by the king's uncle, features notable elements such as: An old bell tower from 1935 The Sala Krom Luang Raksornraet, a small Chinese-style shrine An old ubosot (ordination hall) by the Bang Pakong River, facing east A viharn (assembly hall) with a four-tiered roof, housing the principal Buddha image and four additional Buddha statues, along with a bronze Buddha footprint and 108 auspicious images cast during the reign of King Rama III.
