Description
Mahathat Temple in Ayutthaya is one of the temples in the Ayutthaya Historical Park. It was an important temple in the Ayutthaya period as it housed the Buddha's relics and was the residence of the Supreme Patriarch. The temple was continuously maintained until it was destroyed and abandoned after the second fall of Ayutthaya.
